Refugees from Ukraine receive a living allowance for food, clothing and other personal expenses, unless these things are donated to them. Refugees who live with a host family also receive an extra allowance. Because the cost of living has recently increased, the living allowance amounts have been adjusted in line with inflation. The new amounts are based on the minimum cost of living calculated by the National Institute for Family Finance Information (Nibud).
